9th Grade: EXPLORE

Focus: Build strong habits and explore your interests!

In our work together, we will:

• Establish sustainable and effective study habits and time managements skills

• Complete rigorous coursework that aligns with your interests and devise a strategy for asking for help when needed

• Develop relationships with teachers, peers, coaches, mentors, etc.

• Explore activities and discover ways to build your community

• Become curious about college; research admissions criteria, admitted student profiles, and visit local colleges and universities to develop a sense of what you need/want in a school

• If applicable, research open scholarships and college-specific merit scholarships

• Find and apply to meaningful summer opportunities that relate to your interests

• Set goals for 10th grade
